Dormice children (Year R) enjoyed a trip last Friday. They caught the bus from the bottom of the village into Bishop’s Waltham. They each paid for their ticket (we’d warned the bus company!) to give the experience of buying a ticket – Maths for real purpose. They enjoyed looking out the windows of the double-decker the bus company had specially put on for us! In Bishop’s Waltham they visited the Palace ruins, the narrow shopping streets, St Peter’s Church and also the library where the librarian read them a story. Thanks to parents for collecting from Bishop’s Waltham and making this work for us!
