Badgers Class enjoyed their trip to Marwell Zoo yesterday. A lovely warm, dry day with lots of walking around – I’m sure they were tired when they got home! The trip was linked to their science lead topic this term ‘It’s a Bugs Life’. Lots of their learning has been about animal classification and animal life cycles so seeing the variety of different species and animal groups helped them develop deeper understanding. As well as studying the animals they looked at exhibits, handled items and discussed the environmental threats on biodiversity. Thanks to parents for dropping off and collecting at Marwell, which made the visit much more economic!
