In collective worship this week we have been thinking about the Winnie the Pooh stories! The publication of the original AA Milne book was 100 years ago so this is a big birthday to share! We’ve been thinking about what the stories can teach us about what friendship means – for example Rabbit’s patience when Pooh selfishly eats all his honey, Piglet’s trust in Pooh when he’s trying new things that scare him and Eeyore’s compassion for Tigger when the others find him annoying. They demonstrate Christian values too, such as the grace Piglet shows by helping Pooh when he needs it rather than waiting for him to ask. Why don’t you watch one of the many stories (loads on Youtube) and have a chat about what the story teaches in terms of friendship and enjoy some of the wonderful stories together.
