We end this half-term on a windy, rainy day – those hot sunny days of September seem a distant memory! With the usual Halloween over half-term, Squirrels children have become concerned over the wastage that happens once pumpkins are finished with. They have come up with some suggestions of how to recycle your pumpkins, if you intend to carve out the centres. 
They suggest:

• Collecting the seeds to eat
• Plant the seeds
• Feed seeds to the birds
• Make pumpkin popcorn
• Compost
• Make soup
• Make pumpkin pie
