Good morning everyone,
We have made it to the last week of term ! And it is only 2 more days for you all. (I have got an extra day as the teachers are all in for an Inset day to plan for September on Wednesday.)
I had a lovely weekend on my boat. We went down on Friday evening after dinner. The sky over the marina was beautiful as the sun set. Saturday morning dawned bright and sunny. There wasn't a cloud in the sky! My Mum and Dad have a boat in the same marina so we joined them for a morning cup of tea then decided to go together to Priory Bay on the Isle of Wight. We put their dinghy on the back of our boat together with our dinghy and set off for the island. The sea was a little choppy but it was a fun ride across! We anchored off the beach and filled the dinghies with everything and everyone ready for our barbecue. I am sure we looked a funny sight we 2 dinghies in tow! However we safely made it to the beach. We had a fabulous day as it was our first barbecue with all of us. Elliot was at work all day (at a different marina) but we came back to the marina in time for him to join us after work! We had a second (much smaller) barbecue on the boat in the evening (just so Elliot didn't miss out!)
Sunday was a real contrast with the weather. We woke up to drizzle and grey skies. It was a good day for a spring clean of the boat, so we set to work cleaning and tidying the whole inside ready for our holiday next week!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I know some of you were away camping, I am sure you had a fantastic time.
Today I have set some lessons for you which I hope you will enjoy doing. In the maths booklet, there are lots of activities, just choose one or two that you like the look of! You could do a couple more tomorrow.
Have a good day
Love from Mrs Bird xx
