Can I understand the style of Roman buildings and make a model using different techniques?

In the lesson today, you will be learning more about Roman buildings. We will be looking at the type of columns and pediments used in some of their buildings.

Then you will have a go at making a Roman style building using cardboard and paper.

For this lesson you will need an old cereal box and some pieces of paper.

Start by reading through the information about Roman buildings. Look carefully at the design of the columns. Also look at the diagram labelling the different parts of the columns.

Next, watch the video where I show you how to make your Roman building model.

There is also a Powerpoint presentation to help remind you what to do.

Have fun making your model!
