Good Morning Class 2,

This week for your morning job, there is a workbook for you to work through at your own pace. You can do as many pages as you wish each morning.  We hope you enjoy it.

English: Mighty Writing

Your Mighty Writing for today is to write your own short story to go with the Hunters in the Snow painting. Remember to use my example story, your planning sheet and the word bank to help you.

 

Year 1 – try to think of as many different and exciting adjectives as you can to describe the feelings of the characters.

Year 2 – try to think of as many different and exciting adjectives as you can to describe the feelings of the characters. Also think of some exciting verbs and adverbs you could use in your story.

Today we are going to add some more to our Lowry city collage. So far, we have Painted a background and drawn buildings. Today we are going to make some people to add to our collage. First, look at the PowerPoint presentation below. It explains how Lowry drew the figures in his paintings. 

Now have a go at drawing your own matchstick figures. Try to draw as many as you can! Click on the document below to give you some ideas.
Next week we will be cutting out all of the different parts and sticking them together to create our collage!
