  • Country Dancers - Upham Village Fete

    Fri 28 Jun 2019
A very well done to all the boys and girls from across the school who took part in the maypole dancing at the Upham Village Fete last Saturday.  They were all brilliant and performed with such enthusiasm.  Thank you also to Mrs Sothcott and Mrs Mason for organising, giving up their Saturday and for performing themselves to make up the pairs!
  • Hampshire School Games

    Fri 21 Jun 2019
On Thursday 20th June, a group of children from Class 3 took part in the Hampshire School Games.  This prestigious event, held in Aldershot,  is a county level competition for selected Primary schools who have qualified.  Upham were personally invited to attend because, as a small school, we participate in more sports events than most of the large schools in the area.  The children took part in a multi-skills tournament which they really enjoyed. It was a great experience that will hopefully inspire them as they move through the school to engage in other competitions.
  • Sports Day 2019

    Fri 14 Jun 2019

With rain set-in and somewhat relentless it is with trepidation that I point out we are approaching one of the highlights of our school year – sports day! There’s plenty of time for warmer, drier weather to move in! We will be following a similar structure to last year. You are all welcome to join us for the action on Tuesday 25 June which will start at 1pm. Children will spend the first ‘half’ in teams engaged in a range of activities to earn points and will then compete in races, still earning points. The winning team will be celebrated at the end, just before a normal 3.30pm finish.

Should it be too wet to go ahead, we have a reserve sports day on Tuesday 9 July.
