  • Christmas excitement

    Fri 15 Dec 2023

At the end of a busy week of Christmas excitement, hopefully the church carol service gives us a more spiritual, peaceful close!

It has been an emotional day for different reasons though today, because of the goodbyes. Goodbye to Mrs Howes and Mrs Owusu have both been fabulous LSAs, supporting and encouraging the children over their time with us.

And to Miss Olver who joined us 9 years ago has given all of her energy, expertise and enthusiasm to so many classes and children. When she first joined, she immediately threw herself into the wider life of the school and that hasn’t changed as she has embraced new responsibilities. It is part of the natural cycle of things that she leaves us, now ready to lead her own school as headteacher and I know she will be amazing!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy a good break as well!

  • Christmas is here

    Fri 08 Dec 2023

It’s definitely starting to feel a bit more Christmassy this week – Christmas songs being sung, decorations on the tree and lots of excited chatter from the children! With productions, events and Carol Service all happening next week, please scan the Newsletter carefully to make sure you don’t miss anything.

  • Christmas tree decorations

    Fri 01 Dec 2023

With only two weeks left in school the signs of Christmas are growing – and we even had flakes of snow yesterday! The first Sunday of Advent is over the weekend (the 3rd) which really starts the season properly. We will therefore be putting up the Christmas tree in the hall on Monday and we would like to invite the children to help decorate it with decorations they have made at home. This year we would like lots of colourful baubles – children could decorate circles of card or fold circles together to make 3D or make pom-poms – in fact any media but circular or spherical. Don’t forget something to hang with and not too big – about 10cm maximum. Children can bring in next week and hang on the tree!
