  • End of term

    Fri 16 Dec 2022

What a lovely last week it has been. The productions on Tuesday all went really well and the children ‘peaked’ their performances at the right time. You should all by now have received the links for the videos – the children might like to watch back their performance too! They will be ‘live’ for a while so there is no rush! Christmas lunch was great fun, our cook really made sure it was with all the trimmings and the crackers gave it a festive feel (thanks to FUS for these!). We end this afternoon at the church with a more spiritual reminder of the meaning of Christmas and the importance of being together. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and an enjoyable, restful break.

  • Feeling even more festive

    Fri 09 Dec 2022

It is definitely starting to feel a bit more Christmassy this week – not just the Christmas songs, decorations and lights on the tree, advent candle or general chatter about Elf-on-shelf antics – but the hard frost that turned everything white yesterday and today. Cold, but a reminder of how beautiful winter can be.

With productions and events next week there is a lot going on - please scan the newsletter carefully to make sure you don't miss anything!

  • Vision + Values = time with Maggie

    Fri 02 Dec 2022

It was lovely to introduce Maggie, our school dog, to the children this week. Yesterday and today she has met lots of children in passing. I explained to the children how to greet her early in the week – to put their hand down and wait for her to come to them, have a sniff before moving to stroke her. This worked really well and they all followed this protocol and enjoyed a quick stroke. Hopefully everyone will get to do this at some point over the next couple of weeks. We also gave out the first of our new ‘vision and values’ certificates today and these children got to meet Maggie and play fetch with her. They really enjoyed this and left with special ‘Well done from Maggie’ stickers!
