Admissions & Prospectus

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. If you would like to know more about our school please contact us to arrange a guided tour.

Our Prospectus

In the meantime, here is our prospectus which you may like to have a look at. It is deliberately mostly pictures as these really show the character of our school!

The children of Upham Primary School have also produced a prospectus of what they think parents should know! This was produced by Years 3 and 4 (7,8 & 9 year olds) as part of a local geography and writing topic:

Applications to the school, either for Year R places or for in-year admissions, are made through the Hampshire County Council Admissions Web Page.

As an Aided Church of England School, we have our own Admissions Policy which explains all admissions arrangements; how we consider applications for every year group, over-subscription criteria (if required) and how we offer places should there be more applicants than places. Our criteria are very different to the county council criteria which covers all the other local schools - we prioritise siblings which effectively guarantees places for siblings once your eldest is given a place.

Please see below our Admissions Policies for 2023/24 and 2024/25. Each includes a supplementary application form at the end of the document which is used in addition to the Hampshire County Council On-Line process, if you intend to apply on faith grounds. Further information about our school’s admission arrangements can be found at the Hampshire County Council Admissions Page.

Admissions Policy 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 (For September starting in Year R and also in-year)

Following a decision of the Schools Adjudicator (VAR2277 and VAR2283), this admission policy (and those across the Diocese) was revised on 28 February 2023, to give effect to that decision. Consequently, the wording for oversubscription criterion 2 has been revised, further information relating to permanent residency has been provided and wording regarding attending worship at a church has also been revised.
