Can I identify persuasive language ?

Look again at some of the pages in the school brochure. Last week you worked on persuasive writing.

Please try to find examples of words and phrases that are in the school brochure that help tell the reader that Upham school is a good place for your children to come to. Write these down and keep them in a save place as you will be writing parts of your own school brochure next week.

Art

Can I design an insect mosaic?

Read slide 5 on the Powerpoint saved below. Look at the images showing sculptures made by the artist Louise Bougeois

Then choose one of the images and think about the questions about that piece of artwork.

Look at the pictures of the mosaics on the Odd One Out slide.

In the lesson today you are going to make a mosaic picture of an insect of your choice. Look at the picture of the mosaic bumble bee to give you an idea of what a good mosaic looks like.

Read the instructions for the task on the next slide on the Powerpoint.

You can use small pieces of coloured paper from an old magazine or anything you have at home to make your mosaic.

Times tables

Please spend some time practising your times tables.

Go to one of the websites on the list to find some games you enjoy playing.
