Letters and Sounds

Join in with the children singing the Jolly Phonics songs.

See if you can say each digraph and its phrase and make the sign before I do.

digraph run through

Cued articulation signs for ch, sh, th, ng

Now practise reading some high frequency words by playing The Dinosaurs Eggs game on ICTgames.com.  Decide which of the first three options is best for you and watch out for the saber tooth tiger!
Now watch the Alphablocks programme below to remind ourselves of some of the new digraphs we have learnt recently.
Now have a game of Forest Phonics.  You decide if you want to practise reading words with the ar or oi sound, or both - (the "ow" digraph makes the ow sound like in "snow" so leave that one).

Three Little Pigs writing

Now see if you can finish off your writing you started yesterday about the Three Little Pigs.  What can you say about the third little pig and what can you say about the big bad wolf?   Watch The 3 Little Pigs song below to remind you of the story first.

If you wanted to do any of the 3 Little Pigs activities for fun on our twinkl resource section, the link is below - the password is FY0721 (the third digit is a zero).

Today's Get Active Exercise

Number Time

Let's start today off with the story of 9 Naughty Kittens and then watch the Number 9 Number Blocks programme

Then today you are going to have a game of bingo using numbers and numerals up to 9.  Watch Miss Cooper explain what to do and then have fun playing bingo with someone else in your house.  How quickly can you recognise the different amounts - can you just recognise some without having to count from 1?

Handwriting

Have another go at writing some t's and f's left blank on your previous sheets.  Remember down the tower and across the tower for the t, and up and down the flower and across the leaves for the f - the t and f both need to be straight on the way down, not curved.  See if you can do a few on your own too.  The link is below if you need it.

Cooking with Miss Newton

Dear Everyone,

Firstly I am sorry that I have been unable to make my own Jam tarts this week. I have had a family emergency to sort out that has kept me very busy.

I have added a video for you to follow and you can find the recipe here https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/valentines-day-jam-tarts.

I hope you have fun making them and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Love From
