June 2024

There was a lot of excitement when the class took a trip to Bishop’s Waltham.  We walked to the bus stop and caught the bus, each child paying individually and receiving their ticket, a type of journey which many of the children hadn’t experienced before.  We picnicked in the palace gardens, explored the high street and found out what different shops were called and what they sold and also visited the church and the library where we met the librarians, found out about borrowing books and shared a story.  We noticed lots of different things which were similar to Upham village, but also many things which were different.  All in all, a very enjoyable and informative day.

The children were very busy baking this month when we organised an enterprise cafe for family and friends to visit to raise funds for charity and class resources.
