The 'Coronation Garden' is so called because we had the space refurbished around the time of King Charles III's Coronation and the children, who voted and helped design the space, wanted to reflect this historic moment. The sign was painted by the designer (a child from Class 3) and other children who offered ideas. At playtimes, this open, all weather space is useful for running, jumping, active games as well as just sitting. The soft, spongy surface makes it very comfortable. Children also use this space to play with a large construction set, which creates structures they can fit inside. The wooden tee-pee is also a nice space where a group can get together.
