Our SENCo

Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs And/or Disabilities

At Upham School the Headteacher takes the role of SEN co-ordinator (SENCO) and is responsible for identifying those children who receive SEN support and for managing support arrangements for those children identified as having SEND.

It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure effective provision and inclusion for children with SEND.

A designated member of the Governing Body (not school staff) has the responsibility to maintain an overview of the school’s work on SEND. Currently, this is Vicky Gardner and Judith Carrie.
