Good morning Class 3,
How are you all? I had such a lovely afternoon yesterday as Elliot and I took our first trip to the coast. I think most of you know that I love the beach and the sea. I have really missed the seaside over the last few weeks, especially as the weather has been so nice. We drove to Hill Head and walked all along the beach and around the little harbour. We sat in the sunshine; watched the boats and listened to the waves on the shore. It made me feel so happy and relaxed. A proper treat.
I wonder if any of you have been slightly further away from home, now the rules have changed a little bit.
I went out on my doorstep as usual to clap for the NHS staff and careworkers. Mr Bird was out with the satellite truck filming people clapping in Surrey for the news.
Next week one of your learning tasks is to make Egyptian pitta bread and hummus. I have saved the list of ingredients below in case you need to get things from the shops this weekend.
I hope your learning goes well today. It's Friday maths today, and for a change I have put the challenge questions from the bbc bitesize website. They get harder as you go, so do what you can! Your writing task is a diary entry as Howard Carter which I would like you to email to me. As usual, I don't mind if you write it by hand and photograph it or type it.
Have a good day and a lovely weekend,
Love from Mrs Bird xx

Good morning Class 3! 🙋♀️
It’s another sunny start, so I will be out on my bike this morning. Yesterday, Hope drove us to the South Downs to walk Lily and Max, it was a bit breezy but lovely and sunny and so nice to go a bit further afield.
🧩 Puzzle update - I finished Tenby Harbour yesterday and am bracing myself for the big 2000 piece puzzle. I will make a start later today
Have a lovely weekend.
Love from Mrs Lambert xx
