Good Morning Class 2!
I hope you had a lovely weekend. The weather wasn’t quite as warm and sunny as it has been but we still managed to have a BBQ in the garden yesterday. I hope you did something lovely too!

Good morning Class 2
I hope you are ready for another week of learning. I just wanted to share a couple of pictures with you from my walk in the rain on Saturday. We were walking along the river and came across a swan and it’s baby. A baby swan is called a cygnet. It was so grey and fluffy, I thought you might like to see it. We also saw a large stag beetle which we all thought was rather cool so I thought you might like to see that too!
Have a great week and keep up the good work.

Which figure (someone or something) did you choose to be?
Have a look at the example I have written.
Describe what is happening in the picture, who is there? What are they doing?
How many people are there? What sounds do you think you would hear?
It might help if you tried to act out the scene, think about what sounds you would hear and why the men would want to fight. Use the word bank and the example to help you think about what to write. I have included a writing aid sheet where you fill in the blanks.
This week we are moving onto Multiplication. You will revise using the X symbol in number sentences and practice drawing and using arrays to solve multiplication problems. Later in the week we will look at the 2 and 5 x tables.
Your Mighty Writing Task this morning was to look at a famous painting by LS Lowry and to imagine that you are one of the figures. Over the next few weeks we are going to be finding out more about the famous artist LS Lowry and looking carefully at some of his paintings.
This afternoon, I would like you to have a look at the PowerPoint below. You might need a grown up to help you with the reading:
