Thursday 9th July 2020

Good morning everybody,

I hope your week is going well and you are still ready and raring to go.  Sorry I didn't put a little morning message up for you yesterday.  I was just about to do it yesterday morning at school when someone came into the classroom to see me, I got distracted and forgot all about it!!!!! Anyway I hope you had a good Wednesday!  I'm looking out of my living room window now and it doesn't look very much like summer as it's looking a bit murky and breezy.  However, I will keep my fingers crossed for a bit of sun later on.  We continue to do PE with Joe most mornings at school, with the whole school doing it first thing in the morning together on the field.  However, Joe has cut down his sessions to only Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays each week which leaves us in a bit of a quandary for the rest of the week.  However, Miss Olver has stepped into his shoes and sorts out the majority of the PE on the other days.  As a way of saying thank you, the staff all ordered themselves a t-shirt which said "Personal Trainer PE with Miss Olver" on the front and ordered a t-shirt and special cap for Miss Olver too.  On Tuesday, we surprised her with her t-shirt and cap and we all now match each morning!

Today is moving up morning where we are going to undertake some activities set by our new teachers who will be teaching us when we return to school in September.  When you move into Class 2 in September, you will have two new teachers:  Mrs Sothcott, who will teach you on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Mrs Pilgrim, who will teach you on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  Miss Newton will also be there everyday to help you with your work, and Mrs Miller will be there for different sessions throughout the week to either teach the class or help you with your learning.  Click on the link below to find out what you need to do. (Just in case the link doesn't work, click on the school website "news" tab.  Then click on "Transition Day Thursday 9th June" tab.  You will then need to select the "Class 2" link.)

Seasons Activities

We are continuing to learn about the 4 seasons of the year and at the moment we are in the season of summer when you see lots of flowers growing outside.  Click on the link below and see how you can build a flower out of lego.  If you don't have the lego to do this, you could have a go at playdough flower, a bendaroo flower, a hammer beads flower, a tissue flower or flower out of junk model.  Give it a go and see what you can do.  Email a picture of it over some time this week when it is finished - no writing to email this week!  Have fun doing it!
