Thursday 9th July

Good morning Class Four,

I hope you are all having a good week so far. You have a lovely day ahead of you today - moving up morning and then an art session from Mrs Soley this afternoon. Hopefully you will really enjoy the activities and have a great day.

I had a nice evening yesterday, it was Zoom pilates with my friend Faye (don't worry, I managed to stay awake!) and then I had a phone call with Mrs Kimble. She has been really impressed with all the SPAG work you've been doing. If you had a go at yesterday's challenge, make sure you send it through so I can pass it onto her.

Have a lovely day, love Miss Olver x

Moving Up Morning

This morning is our whole school 'moving up morning'. It will be very strange doing this virtually rather than in school as normal, but hopefully you will still enjoy it.

Year 5

Go onto the school website.

Click on 'News'

Choose 'Transition Day Thursday 9th July'

Choose 'September 2020 Class 4 Miss Olver - for current Year 4 and 5 children'

Then follow the instructions there smiley

Year 6

If you have been given any transition work from your secondary school, then you could use this morning to do that. I know that sometimes schools send you Powerpoints/videos to look through or little preparation books to fill out, so you can use this time to work through these.

If you haven't got anything you need to do, then Wyvern has sent through some Maths, English and Science activities which you might want to try. Even if you're not going to Wyvern, you could still have a go at the tasks as I'm sure they will be good preparation for Year 7 at any school.

Art/Design and Technology

Mrs Soley has planned a lovely activity for you today making an insect hotel. Have a look at the instructions and photos in the document below. Enjoy smiley

Spellings and Reading

Make sure you practise your spellings ready for your test tomorrow and do some independent reading of your choice.
