Good morning Class 3,
I hope you have had a lovely weekend and managed to get outside even though we haven't seen much sunshine recently. I hope you have had a chance to take a look at the class gallery I have set up. I have added lots of the lovely work you have sent me. Well done for making such a good start on your home learning. If you haven't yet sent me a message, please do as I really enjoy hearing about what you are doing at home.
I have been doing some nice long walks over the last few days. On Friday, I met one of my friends and we walked from Hedge End past the edge of Manor Farm and back in a large circular route. On the walk, I saw a very cute pony and donkey in a field with some sheep who were almost as big as them!
On Saturday, I walked to meet a friend who lives nearby and we did a long walk all around Stoke Park Woods. I did look out for anyone in the class there as I know some of you go walking there too. Sadly I didn't spot any of you, but maybe another day! I took a couple of photos of the winter trees and some very interesting fungus I spotted.
Yesterday, I went on a walk with my family. We went around the edge of Marwell zoo. Some of the walk was extremely muddy, so bad we almost turned back! However we decided to persevere! We were hoping to spot a few zoo animals through the fence but most were safely inside I think. However, we did get a fantastic view of a red panda who looked very interested in us too! I wondered if the animals are missing the visitors now the zoo is closed!
Today, I'm in school all day with the key worker children. Hopefully lots of you will join the school assembly at 11am this morning. I am planning to set up a Teams live meeting this week with you all . I will give you the details of this tomorrow but in the meantime, those who have not messaged me to say you would like to join, please could you let me know which email address you want to use so I can send you an invite.
Have a good day,
Love from Mrs Bird x
