Friday 10th July

Good morning everyone!

I hope you've been having a good week this week!

I just wanted to remind you that in our Music lesson next Thursday we will be making our jam jar xylophones so if you have any jars at home that are almost empty you may like to hold on to them! You can use bottles or glasses too so don't worry if you don't have any jars. The website also suggests using different coloured food dye in the water in your jars but again this isn't important at all so don't worry if you don't have any food dye.

I'm looking forward to any pictures or videos you might send me of your xylophones next week!

Have a super weekend!

Once again PE Dave has put up some exciting ideas for you to try at home.

Maths

You all have another maths activity mat to do today. These mats are useful because they help you practice all different areas of maths. Year 2s, you have three different level mats to choose from.  When you have finished your mat, you can have a go at one or more of the other activities underneath. There are also some websites for you to play some maths games on.

Mighty Writing

This week you will be designing your own dream holiday! Where would you really like to go? It might be somewhere you have been before that you would like to visit again! Today you can work through the planning sheet filling in each box with some of your ideas. You don't need to write full sentences today as you are planning your writing ready for Monday. Try and think of some exciting adjectives you might use to describe the place, the journey and where you stay.

Use the planning sheet below and have a look at my example for some ideas.
