Thursday 15th April

Good morning Class Four.

I hope you had a lovely day yesterday, some more beautiful weather, we have been so lucky!

It was a bit of an eventful day in the Olver household. I went out for a nice dog walk with Flash first thing, ran along the river then back on Twyford Road, did PE with Joe (amazing news that he has broken the Guinness World Record about number of people doing an online fitness class with his PE sessions!), had a shower and then went downstairs to find Mr Flash hopping around on three legs. He wouldn't let me near the fourth leg so it took a while to find out what was wrong. He had broken his nail. Every time I tried to touch it, he let out a big yelp and so I had to phone the vets. We managed to get an appointment for 11.30am which was great. The vets are being very careful about safety, so she came out and took him from me in the road, he really didn't want to go with her. He was gone around 15 minutes and it felt like forever waiting. She managed to sort it out, clean it up and stop the bleeding so I took him back home. I think it must still be a bit sore though as he moped around looking really sorry for himself all day. crying Poor Mr Flash! I'm hoping he will sleep tonight and feel better in the morning.

This evening, my friend Faye, who is a Pilates teacher, invited me to an online Zoom Pilates class with her. You all know how much I love Pilates, so I was very keen to join in. It was a great class, lots of stretching, some hard tummy work and then a lovely relaxation at the end. Don't forget that you can always do your own Pilates at home if you want too - you all know how to do it!

Hope you have a lovely day. Love Miss Olver x

Here is a message from Mrs Soley:

Morning All,

Hope you are all well and still enjoying the lovely warm weather.  As you can see from my photos, I am continuing to cook at home.  I tried cornflake flapjack and it was quite nice actually.  You don't need as much of everything but has the basic flapjack recipe at its base.  If anyone would like the recipe then please email me.  My second photo shows the peanut butter, chocolate and fruit quesadillas.  Very easy to put together if a little sickly for me.  I think if I made them again, I would not use the chocolate.  No really, you know how much I like chocolate!  I am planning to make the Nutella brownies at the end of the week when Mr Soley has been shopping.  Have to say, quite looking forward to those.

My final photo is of Jacob helping his mummy, how many of you were keeping your rooms tidy at 10 months old, I wonder?

I have been preparing some resources for our Greek topic and I am looking forward to seeing some of your art work as well as any foody pictures.

Have a lovely Thursday, catch up with you soon.

Best wishes.

Mrs Soley xx
