Thursday 25th June 2020

Good morning everyone - it's meant to be super hot today so lots of water to drink, plenty of suncream and don't forget your sun hats too (ooh and don't forget the icecream as well!).

At school, we have gradually been getting back into the swing of writing and were really happy and surprised to receive by email a book written by Zain at home for the children in class.  It was based on another book we wrote a couple of weeks about a wizard but Zain had modified it to be all about different coloured things he had seen on different days of the week.  We thought his writing was super neat and his pictures really added to the story too.  So a really big well done to Zain and a really big thank you too.

Have a happy day everyone.

Letters and Sounds

Practise your sounds using the powerpoint below.

Play the tricky word song for phase 3 and see if you can write the words down as it plays.  Then see if you can remember how to spell any afterwards.
Today we are going to revisit the digraph sh.  Watch Geraldine and the Alphablocks below to remind yourself of the digraph.
See if you can read the sh words on the video below and then have a game of blending bingo using the ch and sh words (print off page 5 only for the bingo cards by pressing the long green button on the top right hand corner).
If you would like to practise your phonics with a teacher, click on one of the links below:
It's time to write another sentence about your monster. Think about what your monster likes to do - if he is calm, he might like doing calm things like reading or yoga, if he is happy, he might like to sing, if he is loving, he might like to give hugs - you decide and then with your adult, say your sentence out loud a few times and then write it down one word at a time, using your super sounds.

Number Time

Watch the Thursday Oak Academy maths video. Today it is about estimating.
