Our Library

Our library space is a multifunctional room. The library furniture is located on one side which means it is primarily a space where all children can go and choose books to read and take home. There are books for all age groups so children can find things they are interested in but also reading that challenges their skills. Books are divided into fiction and non-fiction, just like other libraries and children can use the computerised logging system to take books out.

Our School Council wanted to add some decoration so that the space was inviting and a nice place to relax and read. From their surveys with children, they chose the rainforest and snow animal themes you can see below:

The library is organised to maximise floor space so that the room can also be used for other activities. Sometimes, the space is used by classes to do some different learning with a group. Sometimes sessions such as music where children need to sit on the floor and spread out take place her. Our music lessons also happen here.
