The Pond & Wildlife Area
Our Environmental area contains a raised pond, designed specifically for children to safely use for pond dipping. The pond is full of dragonfly nymphs, bugs and young newts. The rest of the area is deliberately wild with native plants. There is a trail that weaves around with various different habitats such as log piles, stone piles and bramble cover which attracts lots of different wildlife. There is even a hidden hedgehog underground hideaway under the mound! The area is surrounded by a sturdy wooden fence with a locked gate and children can only go into this area with an adult as the pond is obviously hazardous and needs to be carefully supervised.
