Sunday 19th April

Good morning Class Four!

What a beautiful morning it is! It's the last day of the Easter holidays today and we are back to home learning from tomorrow. Make sure you make the most of the day - spend some time relaxing and enjoying the sunshine, do some nice things with your family and try to go outside for some exercise.

Yesterday, I went on a really long walk and dropped off some of my cupcakes on the doorsteps of Mrs Pilgrim, Mrs Steele and Mrs Soley. Mrs Soley had kindly left me some of her baking on the doorstep for me to pick up - so it was like a bit of a cake swap smiley In the afternoon, I did loads of cleaning. Where I have been working on the house, everything was really dusty. I cleaned the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. Today I have to start on the lounge - but that is the messiest room in the house, so it's going to take a long time! In the afternoon, Mrs Pilgrim left me a beautiful bunch of flowers on my doorstep which was a lovely surprise.

Today I should have been doing Brighton Marathon. As you know, I'd been training really hard for this since just before Christmas. I have dropped the training a bit since the news that it has been postponed until September, but I thought I should mark today - so I'm going to go out and run a half marathon by myself in a minute. A half marathon is 13.1 miles (or 21km), it's a long way, so I had a big dinner last night full or carbohydrates to keep me going and the weather is lovely, so hopefully it'll go ok!
Have a great day, Love Miss Olver x

And for those of you who share my love of Cornish pasties - have you seen this article...
