Can I answer questions about a story?

Read The Little Story Who Didn’t Want to Be Told by Wilf Merttens and Anne Holm Petersen saved below.

  • Name one thing that’s the same as in the storyteller version you heard on Monday or Tuesday.
  • Name one thing that is different from the storyteller version.

Next open the document below Questions about the Story.

  • Read each question carefully. Think about your answers.
  • Write your answers in the spaces provided.
  • Check that your answers say clearly what you wanted them to.

Mark your work using the answers on the next page of the document.

The Cat is considered the cleverest animal in the forest.

Think of another animal that is clever.

This could be an animal you actually know, like a pet your family has, or one you’ve read about, seen on TV or discovered on the Internet.

Open https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/16940749 or https://www.readersdigest.ca/home-garden/pets/5-incredibly-intelligent-animals/ and read about some very clever animals if you are stuck for an idea.

Write a short paragraph describing your animal and another paragraph explaining what clever things it does.

Art

Today you will be making your insect sculpture that you planned in your lesson last week.

The Powerpoint with the instructions are saved below. I think this should be a really fun task and an opportunity for you to show off your creative talent! You don't need to worry about painting it or finishing the sculpture today as you will be adding colour next week.

Times tables

Please spend some time practising your times tables either online or using your flash cards.
