Thursday 4th June

Morning job

This is a spelling sheet, (answers sheet 2) see which words you can spell correctly. Hop about and see how many you can get right.

Split diagraph sheet

It is REALLY important you keep reading, it can be anything, the back of a cereal box, a recipe, instructions, books or comics.

Choose something you would like to read, put the buzzer / timer on for 5 minutes and read for the whole time. 5 minutes isn't very long at all, so have a try at this comprehension as well. Choose the right level for you - even if you only read part of it, as well as the 5 minutes, I will be happy.

Science lesson 2

Get the recording sheet you used yesterday. Have a look at it, use it to help you answer these questions

  • Have you been surprised by anything you saw?
  • Which was the bounciest ball?
  • What about the material (what it is made of) made it bouncy?

Next you can use the data -information you found out - to make a bar chart.

Here is an example -

You could also try more experiments to see how well the balls bounce on sand, grass, the carpet, concrete or any other surface you are allowed to try on.
