Morning all,

More fantastic weather yesterday and more for the rest of the week - hence a few ideas below for cooling off outdoors.  We made it down to the beach for 7.00 am this morning and it was absolutely glorious.  No waves, very still and very few people, although I did see one family setting up for the day at about 7.30 am with blanket, umbrella and buckets and spades!  Tomorrow (Wednesday), we are aiming to be in Southsea before 7.00 am to have a cycle ride along the coast down there with my sister.

Some of my carrot tops continue to grow in the soil but the ones in water have basically started to go a bit grey and slimy and have given up!  The ones in the soil are only slightly better - I think I used oldish carrots - I won't do that again!  Hope you're all managing to stay cool and safe in the sun - have a great day.

This looks like buckets of fun in this hot weather!
Different water games to try in the garden - if you dare!

Ice cube fun

Create a giant ice cube and filled with small dinosaur toys – the children can make it melt to get to the toys! Or you can put a plastic toy in a food bag, fill with (coloured) water and freeze. Give them a spoon to chisel away at it with.
