Year 3
Can I describe the properties of 3-D shapes?
Work through the recap quiz, video and the questions on the slides at the National Oak Academy link.
There are only a couple of quite short questions today so I think most of you could also do the worksheet saved below.

Year 4
Can I solve problems involving money?
Please click on the link below. Work through the recap quiz, then start the video at 6 minutes 45 seconds (you don't need to do the starter activity today)
On the first activity - making amounts with 5 coins, try to find an organised way to approach this problem.
Then work through the questions starting at Slide 2 and work through the questions. However,
I think the questions are quite challenging, so I have added some alternative questions to practise writing amount of money below if you want to do this instead.
If you are doing the slides:
On Slide 2, try to use multiplication or a mental method to work out the answers.
There are examples of how to solve these on the video but it is fine if you have used a different method or a written method.
On Slides 3 and 4, you need to use a trial and error method to try to find a solution. They are quite tricky!

Can I use a thesaurus to improve vocabulary choices?
Go to the bbc bitesize lesson below to learn about using a thesaurus. We have already learnt about this in school this year. Watch the video clip, read the information and complete activity 1
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zh2xhbk
Then do the worksheet saved at the bottom of this section. There are 3 questions. You can choose how many you do. If you have a children's thesaurus at home, use that. If not there is an online thesaurus at the following website:
Can I edit and improve my writing?
In today's lesson, I would like you to make improvements and edit your written work from yesterday's lesson.
Start by reading through your writing. It might help to read it aloud.
Does it all make sense? Are there any words you have missed out?
Is it written in the same tense? if it is the letter it will probably all be in the present tense eg journeys to school are dangerous.
Have you used modal verbs? For example, you should turn off lights when you are not in the room.
Have you used any rhetorical questions ? For example, can you imagine climbing a ladder on your way to work?
If you have written a rap, have you used any rhyming words?
Can you use a thesaurus to improve some of the vocabulary choices you have made?
Choose one or more sentences or lines to rewrite to improve the content.
Next look at your writing carefully.
Look at the punctuation:
Have you used capital letters and full stops accurately?
Do any words need an apostrophe either for a contraction eg can't or for possession eg people's journey
If you have written a letter, have you used paragraphs?
Look at your spelling:
Are the words spelt correctly. Focus on words with spelling patterns and rules you know we have learnt this year.
You have a phonics card in your home learning pack which might also help you.

Today we are looking at how God as the Trinity revealed Himself in the Bible. We have previously learnt that the Trinity is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and there are many times that God revealed Himself to people in the Bible.
Open the Word Document below. Look at the images and read the verses that these images represent.
Christians believe that Jesus is the most important way that God appeared to people. In Luke it talks about an angel appearing to the shepherds to tell them of the good news of Jesus' arrival: Luke 2 v8-12
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Can you draw a picture to represent this verse.
When you have finished, take a photo and email it to Mrs Lambert.
