Tuesday 14th April 2020

Morning all, it's a chilly one this morning with quite a bit of frost so wrap up for the first part of the day.

I hope you had another good day yesterday despite it feeling a little cooler at times.  We went for a walk late morning yesterday through some local footpaths and at some points it felt like we were in an ice tunnel - I'm glad I took my coat! We've had another story in from Esther this week which I have put in the story gallery, so take a look to find out about the snow cats who love to party and eat!  I am also continuing to add any photos of what people have been up to in the gallery so if you'd like to share your experiences, send them to me and I'll put them up.

Also, if you're a dinosaur fan, the Maddie and Greg Go Live programmes are all about dinosaurs this week - watch live at 11 or watch later online.

Below are a couple of activities you could try if you have a free moment.  Have fun.

Egg carton rabbits and chicks

I found these which I think look really cute and simple if you adapt the making process a little.  The link will take you to a site for making an Easter checkers game but you could just make them for fun, as many or as few as you like and just glue on normal cardboard ears and wings.  OR you could make the lot and the board and learn to play checkers!

Make biscuits and build and measure towers with them

Follow the link below for a recipe for plain biscuits and some ideas for fun and easy to carry out mathematical activities.
