A message for you

Good morning Class 3,

I hope you enjoyed the weekend and feel like you have had a good 'holiday' even though it probably was very different to what you usually do when it is holiday time. I have heard about some of the activities you have been busy doing. Thank you to anyone who has sent me messages and pictures.

I have continued with my Spanish and have now finished lessons on phrases, travel, the restaurant and family. I hope I can remember some of it! Friday turned out to be a very wet day in the end. I watched a film with my family in the afternoon, which is the first film I have watched since school closed. I did a quiz on Zoom with 3 other groups of family friends on Friday evening which was great fun! I am not very good at the entertainment and music rounds, but do much better at Science and nature luckily!!! I have done a couple of other online quizes with lots of the teachers from school.

Yesterday, I did my weekly trip up to my parents and grandmother to drop off their shopping. I still can't get over how quiet the motorway is. On some parts of the journey, I couldn't see any other cars.

In the afternoon, Elliot and I went for a long walk along the river Hamble which I loved as it's the first time I have seen the water for weeks and I really miss the seaside.

So I hope you are well rested and ready for your return to home learning! I have seen on the news that there are lots of new online resources being made by the BBC and other organisations. So I will have a look and see if there is anything helpful in the coming days. Our new topic is Ancient Egypt, so you will start to find out a little bit about who the Ancient Egyptians were and where they lived in your lessons this week.

I hope you have a good day and enjoy getting back to work.

Good morning Class 3!

Well, the start of another term - but very different! I’m looking forward to seeing your Egypt work on the gallery for our Egyptians topic.
My family and I did some more beautiful bluebell walks at the weekend with our Westies. Max seems to be moving a bit better now. 😊

We did online church again and caught up with church family. I put on some online things for the children so they were occupied during the talking bits.
🧩 Puzzle update - I finished the cottage and church one on Friday and have started an elephant puzzle that I bought online recently.
😫 This one is so hard! I can’t work out which piece is for which elephant! I will keep persevering and even slow progress is still progress.
