The children have been making bird feeders in preparation for undertaking The Big School Bird Watch. They smeared cardboard tubes with fat and then coated the tube in bird seed. The bird feeders were then hung in the trees in the class garden area in the hope of luring birds in to feed.
We were lucky to take part in a drama workshop when a representative from the Perform drama organisation visited. The children had a lot of fun singing songs and going into role on an undersea adventure.
The children were down in the den building area again and have been including mark making in their play, as well as cooking in the mud kitchen and making structures with sticks and balancing on stepping stones and tree branches.
