Brilliant costumes for World Book Day

What a lovely Word Book Day we had yesterday – of course the beautiful sunny weather helped. The children looked brilliant in all their costumes, as did staff, and they really enjoyed the occasion. What was lovely was hearing about why the children had chosen the character they had from a favourite book or perhaps one they are reading now. This love of books was really tangible and it was wonderful to see this enjoyment of reading across boys and girls from Year R to Year 6. We don’t give out prizes for costumes, it’s about just having fun, but if we did, Badgers Class team would be hard to beat – they coordinated and each chose a character from the Wizard of Oz, very creative and of course modelling that same love of books to the children!
