It’s been a lovely sunny week but some chilly mornings – things are definitely feeling rather autumnal so it was the perfect week to talk about fungi, nuts, seeds and berries this week in collective worship. Various berries are on trees all around and overnight fungi can appear so I explained important safety messages about avoiding touching and definitely not eating due to some being so poisonous. This was balanced with respecting living things – it's OK to be interested and amazed but to leave them to live. Of course the berries in particular are also a key food resource for wildlife as the season moves into winter. I wonder what they can tell you about?
