It’s been multicultural week in school this week and the children have been busy learning about aspects of other cultures. This has involved geographical work with maps to understand features and key settlement, work in RE to explore religious beliefs and associated cultural practices, listening to traditional stories, artwork related to key themes and also cookery to explore some of the tastes. Squirrels also did some dancing! Hopefully they are able to share some of their experiences from this week with you – an example of the ‘open your mind’ part of our vision, where children explore a very contrasting way of life to their own.
