This week has been all about Year 6 and all their parents should feel very proud of them! They have all taken each exam in their stride and then got on with the rest of the day normally. This is actually really important modelling for everyone else, particularly Year 5, that doing the SATs tests really isn’t too big a deal if you’ve worked hard and prepared!
After each test I asked them if they felt like they had done the best they could have – that is really the goal here because it’s that intrinsic motivation to learn and understand, and do your best that will set them up for secondary school. They all said they did!
Thanks to Miss Leech who has built their confidence and prepared them enthusiastically, with tremendous subject knowledge and engaging activities – ably supported throughout by Mrs White & Mrs Hayward, who together as a team have instilled that positive work ethic!
