The 'big help out'...

Following the Bank Holiday for the Coronation on Monday, when children returned to school on Tuesday we got them involved in our own ‘big help out’. Across all classes, children chose from a list of 12 jobs. These groups, formed from across the year groups and an adult, then worked together for around 30mins. This worked really well and the children were amazing in how hard they worked. I hope they told you about what they did when they got home. Jobs included weeding, washing benches, litter picking, dead heading, tying in the willow tunnel and others (photos above). Throughout, older children helped younger ones do the job and supported them. One of class 4 worked out that all of the children each doing 30mins worked out as 4 whole days worth of work. It was so successful, we will definitely do this again sometime!
