It was lovely to see boys and girls joining in the tradition of country dancing at the weekend. In fact it started on Friday afternoon when Mrs Mason and Mrs Miller took children from Years 1 to 6 to an event called a Ceilidh (pronounced Kayley). They joined in with the other schools there and danced to the live band. Then on Saturday they performed dances at the Upham Church Fete. They did really well and completed the maypole weaves brilliantly to finish. It was lovely to see so many of you there and I bumped into lots of our ex-pupils, some now in their late teens, who all nostalgically described ‘I remember doing that’! Thanks to Mrs Mason and Mrs Miller for running the club which prepared everyone over the last few weeks.
