We have recently purchased new sketchbooks for the children to use as part of their art learning. The previous ones were in a book format which made them difficult to work in with paint. The new ones are spiral bound so children can paint directly into them. Class 3 made good use of these yesterday, experimenting with different brushes and amounts of water to work out how best to paint large skies, in readiness for a piece they are planning. They made notes as they went to record which techniques, effects and colour blends worked best.
