It has been lovely this week to talk about Bonfire Night and the historical origins, most years this falls within half term. As well as safety messages around fireworks and bonfires, we explored the history and why James I wanted everyone to remember which persists today 400 years later. Our thoughts next week move onto Remembrance and we will be marking the silence on Monday 11th next week. We will be holding our collective worship a little later to take in this moment – if you would like to join us for this you are very welcome. We will start around 10:45am.
