I cannot believe the school year has come to an end. We started in September with joy just to simply be back. This quickly turned back towards ‘lockdowns’ and then a closure period again. A remarkable effort by all of you to keep up with the remote learning is being felt now by the great progress children have made. Year 6 in particular leave us in really strong positions to start secondary school with high levels of independent problem solving skills, strong self-management and learning consistent with pre-COVID expectations.
It was wonderful to hear them share their own thoughts about their journey through our school this morning at their Leaver’s service and they will look forward to ringing the school bell as they leave and ‘ring’ their place into our school history.
